CARL SCHUHMANN, A GREAT GERMAN ATHLETE

Carl Schuhmann was a German athlete who was born on the 12^th May 1869. He won four gold medals in gymnastics and Greco-roman combat in the Olympic Games of Athens, 1896. He also competed in weight-lifting events.

He was one of the best competitors in the German team of these Games, due to his victories in a great quantity of competitions.
